Brief description and achievements: The project’s overall goal was to contribute to the empowerment of YWAG by challenging the inequalities and injustices that fuel GBV in Masvingo, Zimbabwe, through advocacy capacity strengthening, community mobilisation and feminist movement building. The project was implemented in Mwenezi Ward 18 , rural district in Zimbabwe as a continuation from Chivi District. The Project Sought to contribute to the empowerment of YWAG in identifying and challenging the key drivers of inequalities and injustices that fuel GBV in Mwenezi , Through the GBV Community Based Research we conducted in 2024, from the findings economic disempowerment proved to be the driving force for GBV among women in Mwenezi, Zimbabwe Therefore, through feminist advocacy capacity strengthening, community mobilisation, knowledge management we created pathways for economic empowerment. We reached 500 + YWAG via social media, sports tournaments and community dialogues/journal clubs
